Developing the use of models and images in mathematics
Summary:
Within this module I address in a practical way, the usefulness of multisensory activities for enhancing the teaching and learning within number contexts. Emphasis is placed upon the appropriate use of models and images for developing conceptual understanding of key mathematical concepts, enabling the learner to engage mentally with the maths and develop a mental image of the process.
